About

My name is Jonna Lutz and I am a filmmaker, writer, photographer, and above all, a storyteller. A Columbus native, I studied Film at Ohio University with a minor in Screenwriting. My work consists of everything gothic, liminal, strange and unusual. My process involves seeing more to the mundane. From a young age I saw a story everywhere I looked. Dark alleys, snowy midnight forests and abandoned buildings called out to me for a backstory. What might be considered boring, I see as a canvas. My main inspirations include the works of David Lynch, Analog Horror, found footage and anything that was born from the internet. My art is catered to those who like bleeding categories together and exploring the unknown. My photography work is everything from commercial event shoots to the liminal and forgotten places of the Midwest. With my films, I blend genres to explore tackling multiple facets of stories. My most recent example is my thesis film, Country of Ghosts, which combines classic westerns and gothic horror.Looking forward, I plan to expand my writing portfolio and continue pushing the edges of my creativity. My goal as an artist is to continue seeing the beauty and potential in the normally forgotten, and to continue creating for the strange!

Social Media Managing

I have experience in not only creating content for social media, but also managing client accounts. With my eye on trends as well as skills with several platforms, I can bring fresh ideas to your campaign.

Campaigns

I managed social accounts (Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook) for my film, Country of Ghosts. I produced eye-catching content to advertise the film's development.

When promoting the film, I catered to a specific audience to grow a following. I used bold designs, trending formats, and strong hooks to gain traction. One post reached 1 million+ views and the campaign generated excitement for the project.

With Ohio University's Esports program, I photographed events, pitched social content, and produced material for their accounts.

The content focused on humor, relatability and gaming. I also adapted a graphics style similar to Ohio University's branding while simultaneously keeping it unique to the individual organization.
